The Willow Foundation was founded in 1999 by former Arsenal and Scotland goalkeeper and TV presenter, Bob Wilson, and his wife Megs in memory of their daughter Anna.
The charity takes it's name from Anna's nickname 'Willow'. Bob was also called 'Willow' in his younger days when he was playing football.
In its first year the charity provided 17 special days
The 1000th application was received in June 2005
In 2008 the charity will provide 1,400 special days
To date there has been more than 3,000 special days
