  • The Willow Foundation was founded in 1999 by former Arsenal and Scotland goalkeeper and TV presenter, Bob Wilson, and his wife Megs in memory of their daughter Anna.
  • The charity takes it's name from Anna's nickname 'Willow'. Bob was also called 'Willow' in his younger days when he was playing football.
  • In its first year the charity provided 17 special days
  • The 1000th application was received in June 2005
  • 2009 was the Willow Foundation's tenth anniversary, the charity organised 1,325 special days
  • The 5000th special day happened in August 2009 when Ross met the GQ Editor, Dylan Jones
  • In 2010 the charity aims to provide 1,500 special days
  • To date the charity has provided more than 6,500 special days
