Cult 1970s cartoon favourite Mr Benn has been voted by viewers the sixth most popular children's television programme in a Channel 4 poll of the 100 Greatest Kids TV Shows. Created by David McKee, Mr Benn, a man who goes on extraordinary adventures, has appeared in several children's books and is a favourite among cartoon lovers of all ages. His animated television series, which first aired in 1970/71, continues to be repeated on televison today.
