Customers at Hatfield's Dutch Nursery took a break from shopping to enjoy
cakes served up by garden centre staff in support of the Willow Foundation.
The 1st Warley Brownies baked and sold cakes to churchgoers in Essex.
The group, aged seven to 10 years old, raised £58 for the charity.
Ladies at a networking event, Women on Top, enjoyed tea and cake for the
charity at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel in St Albans.
Luton Sixth Form College’s Piece of Cake party lasted three hours! Students
and staff snapped up the homemade treats, raising more than £230.
Free tea and cakes have been laid on for customers by staff at Bishop’s
Stortford’s largest department store, Pearsons, raising £250.
Shakira Nahaboo serves up cakes at London’s National Hospital for
Neurology and Neurosurgery, in support of Piece of Cake 2009.
A party organised by special day beneficiary Heidi Griffiths (above right) was
a family affair. The adults laid on cakes and treats, whilst youngsters, Emillie,
Caitlin and Maddy (pictured below) organised a raffle and quiz to raise funds.
Jane Hodges’ third Piece of Cake party was a massive success, raising £330.
Colleagues, at Gatwick Airport, even asked Jane, who spent the entire week
leading up to the event baking cakes, if she could host a cake sale every week!
Friends and family enjoyed sunshine and homemade goodies at charity
supporter Audrey Mason's tea party in Leighton Buzzard. Lynda and John
Dicken (pictured) won this fantastic cake on the day!
A good time was had by all at Donna Ripley's Piece of Cake event.
Entertainment included a raffle and face-painting. £225 was raised
at the tea party .
Customers snapped up cakes at Swinton Health Foods, in Manchester,
raising £112 for Willow. Some, including Muriel (pictured above), even
contributed cakes to the sale.
