Debbie was told her application for a Special Day had been accepted on the same day we had to temporarily suspend our service. She tells us what a Special Day would mean to her and her family.

My name's Debbie. I live with my boyfriend and my five-year-old son Alfie. As a family we love to be outside, Alfie loves animals and nature.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer last April for the second time. I've had surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I'm currently taking Herceptin and Tamoxifen

I feel like we've been on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. We got an email saying that we had been successful in our application for a Willow Special Day, but in the same email it said that we couldn't book anything yet due to the current coronavirus situation!

Obviously we were disappointed, but we completely understand the situation. We hadn't had chance to actually pick a Special Day but I thought maybe something like a trip to the theatre or CBeebies Land would make Alfie happy. He's been a great support to us during my treatment.

Hopefully when the current situation settles we can book a Special Day. In these difficult times, it really helps to have something to look forward to.

We're determined to fulfil a Special Day for Debbie and everyone who needs one.  But we need your support.

If you can, please donate and help ensure the future of Special Days.
