Lorraine’s volunteering story

Lorraine started volunteering for the Willow Foundation in 2008 and has been a familiar face at our events ever since.

‘’I began volunteering for Willow in 2008 when it was named Charity of the Year at my workplace. Bob and Megs visited our office to introduce Willow and explain its mission. I was immediately drawn to the charity and have since volunteered at as many events as possible.

Although my full-time job limits my availability, I am currently a member of the Willow Community Committee, working with other volunteers to fundraise for the charity in the Hertfordshire area.

I love volunteering for Willow, knowing that we are making a difference in the lives of terminally ill individuals by giving them a special day to enjoy.’’
