Sabine’s Special Day story
When Sabine was first diagnosed, she couldn’t see further than hospital appointments. She felt lost and had given up hope. Having a Special Day with her family at the Harry Potter studio tour gave them all a chance to start a new, positive life together.
When I was diagnosed, a fog descended around me and my family. I set myself short term goals (first the surgery, then each individual chemo cycles and finally radiotherapy) as I couldn’t see far out of this fog. When the active treatments ended, the fog lifted but I still felt like I had lost directions on how to live life.
Our Special Day was organised for that first weekend and it was not only something to look forward to but also a fantastic opportunity to reconnect as a family and let the children know that the worst was over. Having my family Special Day reminded how important quality time with my husband and children is to me.

Everything was amazingly done. Willow took care of every single detail, making us feel like VIPs. The trains, the transfers, the hotel, the tickets…everything had been organised. All that was left for us to do was to enjoy every second of it. And we did.
The trip was the perfect start of our ‘new normal’ life. Heartfelt thanks to Willow for our family’s new beginning.
