Challenge Terms and Conditions

Thank you for your interest in raising funds by participating in a challenge event for Willow Foundation. Please read these terms and conditions carefully –


• When signing up to a challenge event, you agree to Willow Foundation the registration fee, and are committing to raise the sponsorship target, listed on the relevant web page.
• Registration fees for all challenge events are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another event or product.
• Will set up an online fundraising page which should include the agreed target within two weeks of registration.
• Pay all sponsorship monies no later than four weeks after the date of my fundraising activity.
• Only use lawful means to fundraise for Willow and will not do anything that harms or is likely to harm the charity’s reputation, particularly in my own social media communications or if contacted by the media.
• You will not do anything that brings the reputation of Willow into disrepute. If you do, Willow has the right to ask you to stop your fundraising activity immediately.
• Before producing, printing and distributing materials bearing Willow’s name or logo, obtain prior written approval from Willow.
• Include on all material the words:’ The Willow Foundation is a registered charity in England and Wales No. 1106746 and a registered charity in Scotland No. SC045811. It is also a company limited by guarantee No. 5207070. Registered in England and Wales at the address below. Registered VAT No 207666205.
• Obtain written approval from Willow before approaching press or celebrities to support my event.
• Ensure that any fundraising events I organise (including hire of equipment or any third parties employed for the event) are fully covered by my own insurance.
• Not carry out house to house collections.
• Not carry out collections in public places without appropriate local authority approval in the form of a collector’s licence; and will obtain the permission of the owner if collecting on private property.
• Not resell or offer for auction any Willow fundraising materials without Willow’s prior consent.
• Acknowledge that Willow cannot take responsibility for any losses made through any fundraising activity that I am involved in.
• Note that all sponsorship money is a donation and not refundable even if I fail to take part, withdraw from an event or the event is cancelled.
• I understand that Willow are not liable for any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused before, during or as a result of my entering this event.
• If you provide photographs or videos taken during your fundraising activity to Willow, you agree that these may be used by Willow for commercial and/or fundraising purposes. By sending these to us, you are also confirming that anyone featuring prominently in the photograph or video have consented to their image being used in this way.
• You agree that Willow can use the details that you have provided to discuss your fundraising activity and follow up on your progress.

Your Data Rights
We want to ensure we communicate with you in the way that best suits you. The information you’ve provided to Willow will be treated with respect and used in line with your instructions. Your details will be held securely and we promise never to sell, share or rent your data unless required to by law. We may use your data for administration, profiling, targeting and research purposes and to communicate with you by post under our legitimate interest unless you have opted out.

Gift Aid

If you are taking part in an event and Willow has purchased a place for you, be aware that the following people are not eligible to tick the Gift Aid box on either your sponsorship form or your online fundraising page –

· You

· Your wife, husband or civil partner

· Your brother or sister

· Your ancestor eg parent, grandparent

· Your Lineal descendant eg child, grandchild

· someone married to one of the above

· A company under the control of any of the above
