Richard Davis’ 4500 mile cycle around the UK coastline

This year marks Richard’s 19th year of taking on sponsored challenges in support of Willow.

In 2026, Richard is taking on his biggest challenge yet – cycling around the entire coast of the UK, including Northern Ireland.

Over 70 days, he will cover an incredible 4,500 miles, pushing himself physically and mentally to raise funds for Willow.

Richard’s journey of fundraising challenges began in 2008, when he completed his first major challenge of running a marathon on each of the seven continents, including Antarctica. Since then he hasn’t stopped, raising more than £165,000 for Willow to date – an incredible effort!

Over the past 19 years he has completed more than 130 fundraising challenges, including:

– Summiting three of the highest peaks across three continents

– Cycling the mountain ranges of the Alps, Dolomites, and Pyrenees

– Riding Land’s End to John O’Groats

– Kayaking around the Isle of Wight

– Kayaking the three longest lakes in England, Scotland and Wales, cycling 400 miles between them

– Swimming across the Solent and the full length of Lake Coniston

– Completing four Ironman 70.3 events

– Running marathons and half marathons around the world

Every challenge has been driven by the same goal – raising money to help Willow create unforgettable Special Days for young adults facing the toughest challenges in life.

These experiences give young people and their families a chance to escape hospital routines, make memories, and enjoy precious moments together.

Richard is hoping to raise over £10,000 for Willow during this challenge!

Your support will help Willow provide more of these life-changing experiences for young adults who truly deserve them.

If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, it will make a real difference!

Thank you so much for your support! 🚴‍♂️
