Ebrima’s yacht experience

40-year-old Ebrima, who is currently recovering from a heart transplant, had a fabulous Special Break organised for him by Willow Special Days Coordinator, Claire. Ebrima and his wife, Isha, spent time aboard the Sunborn Yacht Hotel in London, where they could enjoy precious time together, admiring the views from the boat.

Ebrima’s story 

“I got discharged not long ago from a heart transplant, but I am recovering now. I’m still off work as I am still not fit, but I do manage to go for walks at my local park. I love going to the gym, spending time with family and watching football.

“My condition has affected me a lot as I can’t do what I used to do. I was in denial to start with as I wasn’t expecting it at all, especially at my age. I felt very low sometimes and even felt like crying.

“Everything from start to finish was excellent.”

“Spending time away with my wife was amazing, especially after we have both spent about four months in hospital.
