Rob’s magical Special Day

Twenty-nine-year-old Rob from Merseyside had the perfect Special Day with his wife, Brogan, at the Harry Potter Studios. They were able to relax exploring London and it gave Rob time to feel special following his treatment for a germ cell tumour.

Rob’s story

“I have a close knit family life. I love sport, playing golf and football, and spending time with my wife and friends. I work as a trainee actuary, studying for the exams currently while working part time. My diagnosis has made physical activity more difficult through tiredness and lack of mobility, as well as taking away my confidence and self esteem.”

“We have made lovely holiday memories.”

“My Special Day made me feel just that – special! The whole weekend was perfect and tailored to our every need. From the start to finish we were completely relaxed and were able to enjoy what was a lovely break away from everything. A particular highlight was the Harry Potter afternoon tea – it looked and tasted amazing.

“I made lovely holiday memories spending time with my wife, Brogan. We both love Harry Potter so to show her the studios was amazing. We both love London too so to be able to nip in and out from the hotel, which was amazing in and of itself, was lovely. We watched the Book of Mormon on the West End on the Saturday as we love going to the theatre.

“The weekend was perfect and we can’t thank you enough. We are so grateful to the charity for sorting everything for us. We had the perfect break.”
