Throughout July, hundreds of people laced up their trainers and took on the challenge of walking 100K in support of Willow, raising an incredible £7,500 to help fund Special Days, treats and breaks for seriously ill young adults aged 16 to 40.
Participants completed the challenge in their own way, from lunchtime walks and family strolls to weekend hikes and treadmill sessions, proving that every step really does make a difference. The virtual event brought together colleagues, friends, families and supporters inspired by Arsenal and Lioness legend, and Willow ambassador, Leah Williamson.
The funds raised will help Willow continue to provide uplifting and memorable experiences, giving young adults and their loved ones precious opportunities to spend quality time together and create lasting memories.
Mark Caldwell, Senior Events Manager at Willow, said: “Thank you to everyone who got involved in this year’s Williamson’s Walk and helped raise more than £7,500 for Willow. A huge congratulations to everyone who completed the 100km challenge, supporting seriously ill young adults across the UK.”
