One last dance raises £2,000 for Willow

Lindsey and her sister represented Willow at the Mid Cheshire Independent Adjudicating Panel (MCIAP) Charity Day in Southport on Sunday 5 July 2026, helping raise £2,000 for Willow as part of the annual dance troupe competition and fundraising event.

“Supporting Willow feels particularly meaningful to me.”

The Mid Cheshire Independent Adjudicating Panel (MCIAP) Charity Day in Southport brings older and retired dancers together to dance ‘one last time’ for their chosen charities. For Lindsey and her sister, taking part was particularly meaningful as they chose to return in memory of their friend Ben.

Lindsey said:

“My sister and I ran a dance troupe for over 18 years but retired in 2018 due to our own mother’s ill health.

“In that time, we met Zoe and her family and became aware of the struggles the family had when her son, Ben, became sick.

“Charity Day has been going for some years, and we have entered a team for several years. After a conversation with Zoe about our dancing days, we decided to make a comeback and do this in Ben’s memory. I have chosen Willow in memory of Ben, as his family are personal friends of mine, and Zoe’s daughters have both danced with me at one time or another.

“The event raised over £30,000, and we have given £2,000 to Willow. We hope you can make another family’s dreams come true at these very difficult times. It’s been an absolute pleasure to support Willow and I hope you can carry on the good work you do for many, many years to come.”
