Petr Cech has become the latest celebrity to become an ambassador at Willow.
This comes after the former Chelsea and Arsenal goalkeeper attended the ICAP Charity Day on Willow’s behalf, alongside fellow ambassadors David Seaman and Marlon Harewood.
Cech expressed his excitement, commenting, “Throughout my career in sport, I’ve been able to make lots of incredible memories, so I’m looking forward to being able to help seriously ill young people make lasting memories of their own.”
This isn’t the first time Cech has been involved with Willow. He has been attending various events and making generous contributions towards our mission for several years.
Jonathan Aves, Willow’s Chief Executive Officer, said “On behalf of everyone at Willow, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to Petr. Petr has been a dedicated supporter for several years, and we look forward to continuing our work with him.”
The move sees Cech following in the footsteps of other former Arsenal goalkeepers including Aaron Ramsdale, David Seaman and Pat Jennings. Ramsdale became an ambassador in 2024, and Seaman and his wife, Frankie, were announced as Honorary Presidents in 2023.
Bob Wilson, founder of Willow and fellow former Arsenal goalkeeper, added, “I’m delighted to welcome Petr to Willow. As one of the best goalkeepers the footballing world has seen, I’m sure Petr will be a real asset, bringing his hard work and dedication to the team.”
