On Sunday 27 April, six dedicated fundraisers took on the London Marathon to show their support for Willow. Joining thousands of others in the capital, they each covered 26.2 miles in the heat and raised close to £18,000!

Every one of our runners had a connection to Willow, whether through their own Special Day or that of a loved one, and wanted an opportunity to give back. Vicky was one of those. Here’s why she chose to run the London Marathon for Willow:
“My mum was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma when I was seven and my younger sister just turned one. I have few memories from this time but I do remember our family holiday to Center Parcs that we were gifted by Willow.
“It meant the absolute world to be able to help support another family that may be going through what we went through. It provided us with such a good memory in such a difficult time and truly is something I’ll never forget.”
A great big thank you to everyone who ran the 2025 London Marathon in support of Willow! Your efforts will help even more seriously ill young adults make memories with their loved ones.
If you’re feeling inspired by our London Marathon runners, why not take on your own fundraising challenge for Willow? You can find all of our upcoming events, for runners and non-runners alike, on our events calendar.
