Chiltern 50 Challenge

End of season 50 km looped challenge in some of the Chilterns finest countryside, with historic trails, rolling hills, nature reserves, and fantastic views. At our basecamp in Henley, there’s a Saturday night celebration BBQ, bar & entertainment, with extensive on-site camping & parking options. A route with real variety and some wonderful scenery – and easily accessible from London. You’ll get full support & hospitality, and with 25 km loop option and a 10K loop also available, there’s a Chiltern Ultra Challenge® for everyone!

Thames Bridge Trek Challenge

Putney Bridge, London

Join 2500 walkers and trek 25 km across the Capital with unrivalled views of the skyline & landmarks. From a Putney Bridge start it’s East towards the City, zig-zagging over 16 historic bridges, each with a fascinating story – and a mid-point rest stop at The Oval Cricket Ground for snacks & drinks. 25 km later, beyond the majestic Tower Bridge, it’s a party style finish line celebration & afternoon picnic in Southwark Park.

Thames Path Challenge

Putney Bridge, London

England’s greatest river provides a fantastic backdrop for an unforgettable challenge. Over 3000 adventurers will join the Putney Bridge start, and the full 100km route heads upstream to Henley along the famous Towpath. It’s through Richmond, Hampton Court, Runnymede, and Windsor, with some wonderful scenery to a riverside finish line. With three quarter, half, quarter distance options also available – plus the separate 25km ‘Thames Bridges Trek’ & ‘The Moonlight 10 Walk’ through Central London as part of the weekend ‘festival’ – there’s a Thames Challenge for everyone!

London 2 Brighton Challenge

Richmond Upon Thames, London

The ‘original Ultra Challenge’ – and once again over 2,000 adventurers will take on the Capital to Coast route and test their grit & determination over the weekend. Richmond-Upon-Thames is the start, and it’s over the North Downs with wonderful Surrey & Sussex countryside to half way at Turners Hill. The full 100 km route heads over the South Downs before the welcome sight of the Brighton coastline comes in to view. You’ll get full support & hospitality all the way – and with three quarter, half, marathon & quarter distance options also available – there’s a classic challenge here for everyone!

Easter 50 Challenge

Windsor Racecourse, Windsor

Take on a 50 km Ultra, a  historic 25 km, or a sharp 10 km challenge – and make it an active Easter! From our Windsor Racecourse basecamp 2000 adventurers will head out on looped routes through the Great Park with fantastic views of the Castle, on to Runnymede, along the Thames Path, and takes in some wonderful surrounding countryside. You’ll get full support all the way, and a celebration finish back at basecamp. It’s a great way to kick off the Ultra Challenge® season, and start to get in shape for summer.

London Winter Walk

The Oval Cricket Ground, London

A great event to wrap up and walk off the Christmas & New Year celebrations; maybe kick start a new fitness regime – and to fundraise for Willow! There are Full Marathon, Half Marathon &10km distance options – and an accessible ‘Family Fun 5K’ on the Sunday. All routes start & finish at The Oval Cricket Ground, and take in highlights of the Thames, its historic bridges, and many of the Capital’s landmarks. Sign up as a team, or as an individual and families are welcome. There’s rest stops with snacks & drinks, a special medal, and hot food back at the finish before you head home.

London Marathon 2027

The London Marathon first took place in 1981 and has become one of the most popular marathons in the world. The route takes in many of London’s best landmarks including Buckingham Palace, The Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf.

If you would like to apply for a charity place running the London Marathon 2027 for Willow please complete the following application form.

If successful you’ll need to pay a £75 registration fee and pledge to raise a minimum of £2,750. 

Applications close on Monday 20 July 2026 @ 23:59.

London Landmarks Half Marathon

Join Team Willow for the 2024 London Landmarks Half Marathon! If you have your own place and would like to fundraise for Willow please email us on [email protected]

Taking place on closed roads through central London, it is the only half marathon to go through both the City of London and City of Westminster.

From cultural landmarks and heritage to the city’s quirky and hidden secrets, runners will get to explore the capital on a route like no other! 10,000 runners will start on Pall Mall, will finish by Downing Street and take in fabulous views of London’s most iconic landmarks including Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, Nelson’s Column, the Gherkin, the Shard, the Tower of London and the London Eye along the way.

Whether it’s a slice of Victoria sponge, a luxurious cupcake or a yummy sandwich, it’s time to pop on the kettle and enjoy a cuppa or cheeky glass of fizz and join Take Time for Tea!

Get together with friends, family, school and work to have a celebration, host a bake sale, run a cup cake competition or find your star baker!

However you decide to take part, have fun, share recipes and stories and raise money for Willow Special Days. At Willow, we believe every day is precious. For people living with serious illness, spending quality time together and making memories with loved ones is all that matters. The money you raise will help to continue providing Special Days for seriously ill young adults aged 16-40 at a time when they are needed the most.
