Folk by the Oak Festival 2026

Region: ,

July 19, 2026

Hatfield Park, Herts. Sunday 19th July 2026

Folk by the Oak is just outside of London, but it feels a million miles away. This one day festival is surrounded by the leafy green parkland of Hatfield Park, where you will be immersed in music, history, ancient oaks, bunting, fun and laughter. From the intimacy of the Acorn Stage to the open air festival buzz of the Main Stage, Folk by the Oak bring you award winning musicians and inspiring new talent in one memorable day.

The 2026 line-up includes the innovative and exciting Black Country, New Road, much-loved, soulful bluesman Seasick Steve, acclaimed folk ‘supergroup’ Spell Songs (featuring Karine Polwart, Julie Fowlis, Seckou Keita, Kris Drever, Rachel Newton, Beth Porter and Jim Molyneux, plus live painting by Lost Words artist Jackie Morris) and 2 groundbreaking contemporary Scottish folk bands Talisk and Valtos.

With the music gently moving between the Main Stage and Acorn Stage, you can enjoy every set without missing a thing. No rushing, no difficult choices… just a full day of music, exactly as it should be!

Proud Charity Partner

In 2025 Folk by the Oak raised a staggering £13,600.28 for Willow. This takes the cumulative total to £140,258.24 raised through ticket contributions, the generosity of the crowd on the day and the 2020 online festival.

This wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of the audience and the hard work and dedication of the Willow Volunteers.

Since the very first festival in 2008 we have been delighted to work with the fabulous, energetic and very dedicated Folk By the Oak team. 50p from every ticket sold for Folk by the Oak is donated to our charity.

This year’s festival

The Willow team will be back to attend this year’s festival on Sunday 19th July. Look out for our pop-up shop, Willow raffle, bubble extravaganza and also join us at the main stage at 3.15pm for the special Willow Moment!
