Folk by the Oak raises a record-breaking amount for Willow

Folk by the Oak returned to the beautiful grounds of Hatfield Park on Sunday 20 July 2025 for another unforgettable day of live music. Having been the chosen charity since the festival’s debut back in 2008, Folk by the Oak remains a consistent highlight in the Willow events calendar.

Now in its 18th year, the much-loved festival once again lived up to its name, delivering an impressive line-up of folk music for fans in the oak-lined landscape. Meanwhile, family friendly activities and artisan stalls, including Willow’s very own pop-up shop, added to the sense of community spirit.

The weather may have been changeable but that didn’t dampen spirits, as thousands came together for a fantastic day out. In fact, this year saw a huge turnout, with around 1,500 more attendees compared to previous years, and their generosity helped make it a record-breaking year for Willow. Thanks to ticket contributions, onsite fundraising, and donations gathered throughout the day, a phenomenal £13,680.21 was raised — the highest total to date from the event!

Folk by the Oak has now raised over £126,657.96 for Willow, helping to fund special experiences for seriously ill young adults across the UK.

Robson O’Reardon, Community Fundraising Officer at Willow, said: “This year, Folk by the Oak was extra special. We’re so grateful to everyone who attended, donated and supported Willow on the day. To raise over £13,600 is just incredible and will have a real impact on the young adults we support. A huge thank you to the amazing Folk by the Oak team, our fantastic volunteers and everyone who made this year such a success.”
