Influencers with 14.8 million followers visit teen with cancer

Kingsley was just 16 when he was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare cancer. At a time when he should have been making memories with his friends, studying for his exams and building his future, he was stuck in hospital undergoing chemotherapy and proton beam therapy.

During countless hours spent in hospital, Kingsley listened to James Duncan and Fuhad Dawodu’s podcast, ShxtsNGigs, to escape the relentless treatment. He hoped one day to meet the duo and thanks to a referral from his nurse to Willow, he was able to live his dream.

On a rainy day at the end of 2025, James and Fuhad made the journey down to the south coast from London – merch in hand – where they met Kingsley, his mum and his sister at their home, along with a our Special Days Coordinator Paula. They spent three hours together, playing card games, laughing and joking, and talking about the harsh realities of having cancer as a teenager.

Kingsley said: “When the guys came I couldn’t believe it. We had a long chat and played some games. We were constantly laughing, and it was the best day of my life. I couldn’t thank Willow enough for giving me the best day that I’ve ever had.”

Kingsley’s mum, Kath, added: “We’re so grateful to James and Fuhad for making so much effort to travel all the way to our home to visit Kingsley. He had the best day. I’m so glad that Willow exists to give people like Kingsley, who have been through a real struggle, a special treat which they so richly deserve.”

Kingsley received the all clear just a few weeks before his Special Day and is looking forward to going to the ShxtsNGigs tour in June as a special guest. Thanks to our supporters, we’re able to give young men with cancer, like Kingsley, memories to last a lifetime.
