Position: Stories volunteer

Salary: Voluntary

Hours: 1-2 days per week

Location: Welwyn Garden City or remote

Do you love storytelling? Can you help people to share their experiences? We’re looking for a great communicator with a flair for the written word to help us develop our case studies. We’re hoping to capture the experiences of our beneficiaries and their family members, our fundraisers, partners and team so we can better demonstrate the impact our work has and strengthen the messages we share about our services.

Role purpose

To help us build a powerful picture of our impact, by collating case studies, stories and outcomes from beneficiaries, fundraisers, partners, staff and volunteers.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Skills and qualities

To be successful in this role, you will need:

· The ability to conduct interviews with empathy and sensitivity

· A flair for storytelling with accurate spelling and grammar

· A creative approach to communication

· An interest in, and understanding of the work of Willow

· A willingness to learn how to use our database system and other technology

 · The ability to work on your own initiative but work as part of a team

If this sounds like you, please do get in touch. We are ideally looking for someone who can commit 1-2 days per week, however we are open to other patterns. You can be home based anywhere in the UK, or can work from our friendly office in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.
