Junior Apprentices turn £50 into more than £1,000

March 8, 2018

Over the past three months, our Community team have been working with our partnered Junior Apprentice Team from St Philip Howard Primary School in Hatfield. The challenge for the eight students involved was to simply turn £50 into as much money as possible for Willow, as their partnered charity.

The students wasted no time at all in thinking of lots of fun, innovative ideas to raise both awareness and money for Special Days. By all coming in to the office, they were able to learn about how we create Special Days and enjoy chatting to one of our amazing beneficiaries who shared the impact Willow has had on her life.

Through designing and selling their own calendars, running a raffle at their school Christmas Fayre and carol singing at a local supermarket, we were thrilled to hear the team raised an incredible £1,019.45.

To top it off, the team have also won two prizes as part of the challenge for Best Presentation and Most Innovative Business Idea. That’s amazing news and we have loved having the students as part of Team Willow.

Has this inspired you to get your class, youth club or friends and family fundraising for Willow? Email us at [email protected] with any ideas you have and our Community team be able to help.
