Millie is 10 years old and she is challenging herself to give up chocolates and sweets for as many months as she can – hopefully a whole year or more! She started her challenge on 1st January 2015 so she has almost completed a whopping 11 months!
In doing this challenge, Millie wants to raise £1,200 and to split this between two charities. The first charity is Willow, which is close to her own and her family’s hearts: her mum has been a regular volunteer for several years. She has been especially struck by the fact that Special Days help families reconnect and improve their relationship through a difficult time.
The second charity is Shelter, who Millie is supporting because she witnessed homelessness in Brighton on a family holiday.
We think it’s amazing for a girl of Millie’s age to be strong enough to give up sweets and chocolates for a whole year, through Easter, her birthday, and even Christmas! Our whole team is impressed and touched by her passion to support our charity.
Please help Millie reach her target by donating via her Virgin MoneyGiving page below, which will create more Special Days, as well as helping the homeless:

Millie’s father pledges to match the amount Millie raises.
