Pedal Power

Willow Ambassador, David Seaman, joined 500 cyclists on May 5 for this year’s Hertfordshire 100 event, raising funds for Willow.  Willow’s co-founders & Life Presidents, and fellow Arsenal legend, Bob Wilson and his wife Megs, also joined to wave off cyclists on the day.

Back for its sixth year, the Herts 100, organised by Bike Events and supported by Wrights Estate Agency, is a mighty 100 mile, 60 mile or 25 mile ride through the beautiful Hertfordshire landscape, aimed at keen cyclists or reluctant riders alike.

Wrights took to their quad cycles with two teams tackling the 25 mile route.  The girls team were victorious, crossing the finish line in 4 hours 35 minutes, 15 minutes ahead of the boys team.

David, who is also a Willow Ambassador, has taken part in three Herts 100 rides, having previously completed the 60 mile and 25 mile routes alongside keen cyclist, Bob Wilson.

“Cycling is one of my passions so to combine this with raising funds for Willow is wonderful. Every penny raised in sponsorship will help Willow to provide many more Special Days for seriously ill young adults who are experiencing the devastating impact of diagnosis and treatment. Thank you to each and every cyclists who has raised money for the cause.” – Bob Wilson
