Record Numbers Cycle for Special Days

May 12, 2017

Former Arsenal players, and good friends, Bob Wilson and David Seaman joined more than 850 cyclists on Sunday 7 May for this year’s Hertfordshire 100 event, raising funds for Willow.

Back for its third year, the Herts 100, organised by Bike Events and supported by Wrights of Hatfield, is a mighty 100 mile, 60 mile or 25 mile ride through the beautiful Hertfordshire landscape. It’s perfect for keen cyclists and reluctant rider’s alike and it’s a great way to get fit and raise money for Special Days.

David and Bob completed the 25 mile route together. Bob said, “The Herts 100 is a fantastic event, and with so many more people taking part this year it has become a key date in the cycling calendar.

“It was a bit colder than last year, but there’s always a fun, supportive atmosphere to keep us going. Thanks again to David for helping me around the route and for helping to raise much needed funds.

“Every penny raised in sponsorship helps Willow to provide many more Special Days for seriously ill young adults. I would encourage anyone that took part to try and raise as much as they can.”

Well done to everyone who took part and thank you to all our fab volunteers for your help on the day.
