London Marathon runners raise more than £22,000 so far for Willow

On Sunday 26 April, in the beautiful spring sunshine, six inspiring runners took on the London Marathon for Willow. Anna, Helga, Megan, David, Sarah, Bruno and Neil raised over £15,000 to support seriously ill young adults, helping them to create precious memories to last a lifetime. We are so grateful for their incredible efforts and for taking on such an amazing challenge for Willow.

Before the race, Anna told us her story.

“Stroma, my sister-in-law, was gifted one of Willow’s Special Days when she was undergoing treatment for incurable breast cancer. Stroma and her young family had the most amazing trip to Port Lympne – exploring the zoo, feeding giraffes and even spending the night in a treehouse! The build up and excitement around that trip were an incredibly welcome distraction from difficult times. The memories they made that day are utterly priceless.

“Stroma and I hoped to run the marathon together one day, for Willow. I cannot wait to do it in her memory.”
