Luke’s Special Day story
Luke was just 30 and he was diagnosed with primary central nervous system lymphoma, a rare form of non-Hodgkins lymphoma.

It has had such a positive impact, bringing us so close together
Luke
Before diagnosis, it was just my wife and I (my wife was pregnant). After diagnosis, our baby son was born and it was so wonderful and then I had in-patient treatment for almost 6 months and it was quite difficult being a family. Now that I am out of hospital, it’s fantastic and we’re finally altogether as the little unit we were expecting. It feels like we’ve finally reached where we were meant to be
Luke, together with his wife Whitney and baby son enjoyed a midweek break to Longleat Forest: My Special Day allowed us to really reconnect as a whole family and get some quality time together which we had been missing from the first 6 months of our baby son’s life.
We just couldn’t wait to get away and be just the three of us.
It has had such a positive impact, bringing us so close together and giving us the time we needed being a young and new family after all the treatment had finished.
