Willow beneficiaries enjoy an unforgettable weekend at Silverstone

More than 20 Willow beneficiaries attended the Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone from Friday 3 to Sunday 5 July 2026, enjoying an unforgettable weekend with their loved ones.

Thanks to the generosity of De Vere and support from the team at Silverstone, beneficiaries were able to enjoy a comfortable stay before experiencing the excitement and atmosphere of one of motorsport’s most iconic events.

From watching the cars race around the famous Silverstone circuit to enjoying the incredible atmosphere, the weekend gave everyone the opportunity to step away from everyday worries, spend time with others who understood their experiences and create special memories together.

One of our beneficiaries, Courtney, said:

“We had the absolute bestest weekend honestly. It was so much fun and exactly what we needed.”

For Courtney, the experience also offered a welcome break from hospital appointments and treatment.

She added:

“Thank you again from the bottom of my heart, I am really grateful for the experience and honestly it was great to have a weekend away from thinking about appointments and cancer.”

A huge thank you to De Vere for their generosity and to the team at Silverstone for helping make the weekend possible.

Opportunities like this give seriously ill young adults the chance to take time away from treatment, enjoy new experiences and create precious memories with the people who matter most.
