Young Men with Cancer project
At Willow, we know how important it is for young people to have the chance to create special memories with their loved ones after a serious diagnosis. Through our work, we’ve seen how many young men face extra challenges when seeking support after cancer.

Supporting young men with cancer
Our project is focused on reaching more young men living with cancer, helping them find moments of joy, connection and escape at a time when they are needed most.
Working closely with medical professionals, we’ve learned how difficult it can be for young men to open up about their diagnosis and seek emotional support. This project is helping to change that, ensuring this group is not forgotten.
Since the project began, we’ve already seen a 19% increase in applications for Special Days from young men, and we’re aiming to grow that number even further.
Joe’s Special Break
Joe, 24, from Peterborough, is living with Ewing’s Sarcoma. He enjoyed a Special Day in Cornwall with his wife Charlotte. He told us:

“Our trip was truly unforgettable. I was able to get the most out of my time there, surfing and enjoying the outdoors, with the comfort of having the hotel so close. I just wanted to thank Willow for making such an amazing trip possible and giving us an experience that my wife, Charlotte, and I will always treasure.
These moments are immeasurably meaningful and truly make a difference.”
