Streaming for Willow kicks off with a celebrity special stream

On Thursday 16 October, celebrity streamer Angry Ginge launched Willow’s new fundraising initiative, Streaming for Willow. ‘Ginge’ was joined by Willow ambassador and England goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale, to play the new EA Sports FC 26 game on a livestream to raise money to create special experiences for seriously ill young adults. Over 11,000 internet users joined in, watching the stream, hyping up the group chat and donating over £6,200.

Ginge, whose real name is Morgan, gathered together friends and fellow gamers to create an exciting rivalry between #TeamGinge and #TeamRambo. With the teams assembled, they went head-to-head to establish which would be the best of five. Kicking off with the first win, Ginge took the lead, but was matched in round two by Team Rambo. After four rounds the scores were left 3-1 to Team Ginge.

With the pair having a bargain that the loser would donate to the Streaming for Willow JustGiving pot, both Aaron and Morgan not only kept good on their word, but went above and beyond giving a big boost to the total to support our work.

A huge thank you to Morgan, Aaron, their fellow stream mates and to all those who joined in on the launch stream and donated.
